Hello February! It’s been a hot couple of months with January blessing us with a few days of rain. Whether you are outdoors, indoors or on the road, there is nothing as good as a wonderful book companion. Most of the books read in January featured women and topics around feminism. The only book that was not really about women and feminism was Foreign Affairs by Alison which centered on relationships set in the UK and US. Read my review here
The other books read in January include:
Things I will tell my daughter by Joan Thatia
You notice all the authors of the books that I read in January are women. I can conclude happy women’s month on my blog in January.
I am looking forward to the February reads. I have given women issues a break and moving on to general fiction and historical fiction. I have four books on my reading list:
Nobeca by Lyod Nesling : Not much has been talked about this book so I don’t have high expectations because there is only one review on good reads which is a 2 star so I am hoping for the best.
The Wife between Us: I first requested this book on Netgalley and got a decline a while back. So when I was talking to my friend about it, she recommended it and her review on the book makes the suspense even more. I am looking forward to reading this thriller.
Turtles all the way down is also a widely talked about book that I look forward to reading.
Baghdad Clock – Another recommendation and this one is on Netgalley. The description sounds interesting and I am looking forward to a story with a different setting.
These are my February reads. The month of love. I should have a considered a romance themed novel or considered reading The Legend of Sheba in February because it had a bit of romance. However I am not much of a romance genre reader.
What are you reading this February?
