Runaway Girl by Emma Tallon

I received a copy of Runaway girl from Net galley for an honest review. I loved it. From the moment I started reading, I could not put it down. I was fully engaged. There was so much suspense all I wanted to do was find out what was going to happen to all the characters I was rooting for.

Anna a lady in an abusive relationship escapes from her abusive lover and gets to safety. What I didn’t like about the book is that it had a predictable happy ending. The knight in shining amour so to speak came to the rescue of the damsel in distress. The book reminded me of Girl in the Mist that I read a while back. A psychological thriller that’s intertwined with romance.

Tony, Anna’s ex-boyfriend was my least favorite character for all the verbal and physical abuse he brought upon her. This was the first book I have read that’s written by this author. I loved the style and character development. The book looks like it’s going to have a continuation of the story which I look forward to. I empathized with Anna and her best friend Tanya. I loved that they were determined women in the midst of all the challenges.

Freddy intrigued me from his physical description to his personality. He is one character that I would like to meet. The book is set in London. Interestingly this is one city that I have never really had the urge of visiting. The title too was relevant to the story line.
